Do you know what today is?🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 Today is, MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE day. Did you know that? I didn’t either until I was in the process of following my dream and came across this interesting fact. How ironic.
When I was younger my orginal dream went from being a lawyer to then becoming a model. At some point it changed to becoming a writer/author.
I got into writing via reading poetry and then my first adult novel, Once Is Not Enough by Jacqueline Susann, who wrote Valley of the Dolls.
So, originally my poems were just for me except for when I was telling my mom how much I loved her or for the talent part of a church pageant that I was in. Eventually I got to the point to where I was sharing with others. The way that I connected with poems I read, people were connecting with my poems. 🤔😮🥰😁. I went from writing emotionally charged poems to sexually charged poems and those who read those poems were being turned on. YES!!!!!!
As I continued writing poetry, I had to challenge myself as a writer and I ended up turning a short story into my first novel. As I wrote my novel, I wanted my readers to feel what I felt when I read novels. If what I read turned me on, I wanted that for my readers. If what I read made me cry, I wanted the same for my readers. If what I read shocked me, well you get it. Luckily my readers felt what I wanted them to feel.
So day as I continue to follow my dream, what are you doing today to follow your dreams?
