Re-Introduce – pt. 5

After having Dreamtini published and having a launch party, book signings a few local appearances, I went on a break. I became a mother twice. Two boys. I was told that I’d never be able to have any kids after suffering from a miscarriage. That doctor was wrong. My oldest came via c-section, with meds, and my youngest was born naturally, no meds. They are two years apart. During that break, I was adjusting to motherhood and enjoying my boys as much as I could. I would write when I got a chance. I would take notes on any idea that would pop into my head.

When they were six and four, the relationship with their dad ended, and we left. I was happy, but really wasn’t. I needed to find my happiness again, and then I realized that I never released the follow-up to Dreamtini. Too much time had passed, nine years to be exact. I had to do something to make it relevant. So I published a 2nd edition of the book through Amazon. Now, why wouldn’t I go through the same publishing house? Well, they didn’t make me pay for publishing, but wanted me to repurchase my rights to the book for $199.00. Why am I paying? Now I get it, but then I didn’t. It was good that I waited as long as I did because after seven years, MY rights to MY book reverted back to ME. Amazon was hesitant and said they wouldn’t be able to publish, so I reached out to the publishing house via email, but got no response. I relayed that to Amazon, and they tried and were like ok. At that time, they published and my book was available on their site and B&N’s website as well.
